Pugh Project: Living Room

Pugh Project: Living Room
January 31, 2017 Amy Pugh

When we first saw this home, we fell in love with the open floor plan.  All the natural light flooding in made the space bright and inviting.  While we loved the airy feel of the home, we also wanted to make sure it was cozy.  This was achieved by bringing in warm wood tones and adding in an accent brick wall (which we put in ourselves with lots of blood, sweat, and tears…ha!).

So, onto the best part – the before and after shots!

The before:

And the after:

While this side wall was originally our little french bulldog Lucy’s favorite place to nap, we decided to add a ladder shelf for visual interest (don’t worry, she has now progressed to the sofa for snoozing).

The antique brass chandelier defines the space and brings in some luxe.

And lastly, the view from the living room into the kitchen!
